Learn how to make a Lei

Hawaiian Airlines employees celebrate Lei Day by teaching us how to make lei.

Making and giving a lei is no small gesture, and it’s considered an important opportunity to show honor, high regard and love. Here in the Hawaiian Islands, many adorn people they care about with lei on special occasions or as an expression of their gratitude and aloha. In this video, Hawaiian Airlines Ground Service Equipment Lead Mechanic Kamahanaokala (Kala) Tim Sing and Flight Attendants Maria Kahele and Brian Sabog show us how to make several different types of lei, including a keiki-friendly version!

Hawaii is our home

Though our business may look a bit different right now, it doesn't change who we are and where we come from. We have always been proud to serve these Islands, and these are the stories of what we're doing to support our guests and our community during this unprecedented time.
