Founded in 2007 as a T-shirt company screening modern, Maui-themed designs with a positive, community-minded spin, Maui Thing has grown into a women and children’s boutique in the center of Wailuku.
In addition to their own designs and branded clothing, the shop sells breezy basics, as well as chic bags, hats, jewelry, and other accessories — many by Maui or Hawaii designers.
One thing that hasn’t changed is Maui Thing’s focus on community.
In addition to hosting an entertainment stage at monthly Wailuku First Friday parties, and creating unique designs for Maui schools and nonprofits, the boutique offers free monthly art classes for children.
